Araneta City, PSA launch national ID registration in Farmers Plaza

The City of Firsts partners with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in setting up an additional and more accessible Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) registration site in Metro Manila.

A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed by officials of Araneta Group and PSA in a virtual event on Tuesday, Nov. 16. Present during the MoA signing for Araneta Group were Senior Management Consultant J. Rowell Recinto, Senior Vice President for Operations Antonio Mardo, Vice President for Leasing Lorna Fabian, and Assistant Vice President for Marketing Marjorie Go.

In attendance for PSA were NCR Regional Director Paciano Dizon and Statistics Officers Apolinar Oblea and Faith Rocamora.

Under the agreement, the PhilSys registration site will be on the 4th floor of Farmers Plaza starting Nov. 17. It will be open until Dec. 31 from 11 am to 7 pm.

"We are pleased to offer Farmers Plaza, a place that is accessible through various thoroughfares and modes of transportation, as a site for this initiative. We believe that Araneta City’s strategic location will help the government to quickly achieve its goal of registering at least 50 million Filipinos by the end of the year," Fabian said during the virtual MoA signing.

She added that Araneta City will be in close coordination with PSA to ensure the safe conduct of PhilSys registration in Farmers Plaza.

In response, Dizon recognized the contribution of Araneta City in helping PSA bring its services closer to the public.

Individuals who wish to register and apply for a national ID may visit the social media pages of Araneta City for instructions and other information.
